How BnbWise collects, uses, shares, and protects your data.

BnbWise (“BnbWise”, “we”, “us”) provides accounting and automation tools for short-term-rental hosts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. We collect and use only the information necessary to provide and operate the service for you.
Information we collect
- Account & identity data: your name, email address, and password (stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider). A mobile phone number if — and only if — you choose to enable multi-factor authentication or text messaging.
- Property & financial data you provide: the properties, reservations, income, expenses, mortgage details, and the bank or card transactions you enter, import, or connect for your own bookkeeping.
- Contacts you add: the name and mobile number of service providers (e.g. cleaners or contractors) you add so BnbWise can send messages you configure. We message them only after they confirm consent.
- Messaging data: the content and delivery status of messages you configure, and replies to those messages.
- Usage & device data: basic, privacy-preserving analytics such as pages visited and an approximate country/region derived from your IP address (the IP itself is not stored), used to operate and improve the app.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you (when you sign up, enter data, upload statements, or configure automations), automatically as you use the app (usage analytics), and from services you choose to connect (for example, a bank connection you authorize, or an Airbnb calendar you link).
How we use your data
- Provide and operate the application: bookkeeping, reports, calendars, reminders, and the messages you set up.
- Secure your account, including sending one-time verification codes when you enable multi-factor authentication.
- Provide customer support and maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
How we share your data
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers (subprocessors) that help us operate the app, and only as needed to deliver the service you asked for. These providers are contractually restricted to using your data solely to perform services for us:
- Amazon Web Services — cloud hosting, storage, authentication, and processing (including AI-assisted parsing of statements you upload).
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Twilio — delivery of the SMS/WhatsApp messages and verification codes you configure.
- Plaid — secure, read-only connection to a bank account you choose to link for transaction import.
Your mobile information
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you close your account or request deletion, we permanently delete your personal data, except where we must retain limited records to comply with legal or accounting obligations.
Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Your rights & choices
- You have full control over your data and can access, correct, or export it.
- You can request that your data be permanently deleted at any time.
- You can turn off any communication you don’t want in Settings, or reply STOP to any text message to opt out.
Children’s privacy
BnbWise is intended for adults operating rental businesses and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
