Tasks
Everything that needs doing, and where tasks come from.
Everything that needs doing, across the property.
Tasks are grouped into Today, This week, Later and Overdue, with completed ones tucked behind a "show completed" toggle.
A task has:
- a title;
- an optional checklist of sub-items;
- a due date and optional due time;
- optionally a link to a stay — then it shows the guest's name instead of the property, along with the dates, and is flagged if it's a same-day turn (one guest out, another in the same day);
- optionally a reminder to yourself (see below);
- optionally an assigned contact, if a rule messages someone about it.
Tying a task to a stay
When you add a task, For stay lists the stays that haven't ended yet. Pick one and the task carries that guest and their dates. You can also start from the stay itself: open it on the Calendar and use + Add task, which links it for you and defaults the due date to check-in.
Reminding yourself
Tick Send me a reminder on the due date/time and BnbWise pings you when the task falls due, by push notification, WhatsApp or SMS.
- WhatsApp and SMS need your explicit consent first, in Settings → Notifications — using the app isn't consent. Until you give it, those options are greyed out with a note telling you where to turn them on.
- Push needs the app added to your phone's home screen; the form offers to enable it on the spot.
- Remind again every 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour or 1 day keeps nudging you until the task is completed. Marking it done stops the reminders immediately — including from the notification's own Done button.
- If the task has no due time, the reminder goes out at 9:00 in your account's timezone, and the form says so.
- If the property is in a different time zone from you, a picker next to the due time lets you say which clock you meant. It defaults to yours — the task list is your own diary. Pick the property's when the time belongs to the house, such as a check-out.
Tasks come from two places: you add them manually, or an automation rule creates them. Rule-created tasks also carry their messaging status and a full message log.
