Connections Hub — getting your data in
Connect Airbnb and your bank — the two sources everything runs on.
Settings → Connections Hub.
Everything BnbWise does rests on two kinds of information, and each can arrive automatically or by hand.
3.1 Part 1 — Airbnb
Airbnb feeds your reservations, which drive task automation.
Calendar sync (automatic)
Paste your Airbnb iCal link and BnbWise checks it once a day for new reservations.
To find the link: on airbnb.com open Calendar, pick the listing, then Availability → Connect to another website, and copy the .ics link.
What calendar sync gives you, and what it doesn't:
| ✅ It brings | ❌ It does not bring |
|---|---|
| Future reservations | Past reservations |
| Their dates only | Earnings, fees, payouts |
| Guest names and reservation details |
That's deliberate — it's all Airbnb publishes in a calendar feed. Dates alone are enough for almost every automation: creating tasks, messaging your cleaner, scheduling services and sending reminders all key off arrival and departure dates.
Once connected, the card shows when it last checked and how many new reservations came in. If a sync fails (a revoked link, for example) the error is shown there so you can reconnect.
Import Airbnb reservations (manual)
This is what fills in everything the calendar can't see: guest names, gross earnings, platform fees, taxes withheld and past stays.
- Open your paid earnings on Airbnb (log in to Airbnb if it asks).
- Click Export CSV.
- Upload the file here.
- Repeat with your upcoming earnings to price future stays.
Do this once a month. It's the only way your accounting stays current. The card shows when you last imported and how many records came in, and Recent imports expands to a history of previous files.
Re-importing the same file is safe — anything already recorded is skipped.
3.2 Part 2 — Your bank
Your bank feeds your transactions — income and expenses — which power the Performance page and every report. Choose one of these two methods.
Connect your bank (recommended)
A permanent, read-only link through Plaid. Your bank login is never shared with BnbWise. Once connected, new transactions are downloaded and categorized automatically every day — nothing for you to do.
- Supported in the USA, Canada and 18 European countries.
- Up to 5 bank connections per property.
- Each connection lists its accounts (checking, savings, credit cards) with a checkbox per account, so you choose which ones to import from.
- Disconnect stops future downloads. Transactions already imported are kept — nothing is deleted — and you can reconnect at any time. You'll be asked to confirm first.
Import transactions (manual)
Upload a file exported from any bank. Accepted formats: CSV, XLSX and TXT (also TSV, XLS, XLSM). PDF cannot be read.
Every bank words its export differently, but the path is nearly always the same:
- Sign in to your bank on a computer — most mobile apps can't export.
- Open the account you want.
- Find Download, Export, or Statements & documents — usually near the transaction list, sometimes behind a ⋯ or a ⤓ icon.
- Set a date range covering everything since your last import. Going further back is fine; anything already imported is skipped.
- Choose CSV or Excel.
- Upload it, and repeat for each account.
Column names and language don't matter — BnbWise reads whatever layout your bank produces. Recent imports shows your last files with how many transactions were found and how many were stored (the two differ when duplicates are skipped).
